Tei Pearson, Host

Tei Pearson is the Founder of “The Tei Pearson Experience” aka (TPX), a full-service agency that is an international brand bon from Tei’s belief that she ad to “suffer to serve.” As a result of her traumatic life and her military experience, she is intentional about making everyone be “seen” while at her functions/trainings, etc. She is also the VP of Community Relations at Cocolife.black where she helps build awareness, support, and community for black and brown mothers. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and minor in Forensic Science from the University of Maryland University College.

Over the last 20+ years, Tei has worked with several non-profits, governments and private companies providing education/training, administrative support, volunteer/staff, case management, technical assistance, and program development. Tei has a passion to “make a difference in the lives of others” and uses her comedic personality to help others smile and build rapport with stakeholders. Tei volunteers as a mentor for young women from vulnerable populations, works with women and families that have experienced birth loss, feeds and spends time at local homeless shelters, and facilitates sexual assaults survivors, domestic violence and addiction/recovery support groups for women, men, and children.

Tei is also a Partner, Mother, Disabled Army Veteran, Philanthropist, and the list goes on and on. While wearing all of these hats, Tei uses her comedic personality to help herself and others laugh through her pain. Her favorite hashtags are #TransparentTalk #ButGod #laughthrupain #stayhumble.

Trina Scott

For over twenty years, Trina Scott has committed her professional life working in the area of human sexuality with a specific focus on HIV/AIDS/STI, community level mobilization, behavioral interventions, technical assistance/capacity building, positive youth development and racial/social justice.

Currently, Trina serves as the HIV Community Liaison for Gilead Sciences working in communities in Maryland and West Virginia. She is the former Program Manager at Kaiser Family Foundation, where she worked for 6 years overseeing community partnerships for the Greater Than AIDS campaign. Prior to Kaiser Family Foundation, she was with Advocates for Youth for 10 years where she managed the Health Equity and Youth Empowerment portfolio. She began her career at Whitman Walker as the Volunteer Coordinator, followed by Metro Teen AIDS as a Program Manager.

Trina is also the co-foundress of the Women of Color Sexual Health Network (WOCSHN), a collective membership organization with a focus on the sexual and reproductive needs of women and gender expansive people of color.

Trina is a native of Virginia and North Carolina respectively and moved to Washington, DC in 1995. She is a graduate of Howard University and Univ. of Maryland University College – and loves spending time with family and friends, traveling with her family, singing and finding new recipes to cook up in the kitchen.  She resides in Upper Marlboro, MD.

Chanel Jaali Marshall

Certified Sexologist Chanel Jaali Marshall is an independent researcher, public speaker, mental health professional and sexuality educator focusing on the topics of sexual development, sexual attitudes and behaviors, and reproductive rights. Her research has been presented nationally at many prestigious conferences. As an HIV/AIDS activist and educator, Chanel Jaali conducts testing, clinician trainings, and community workshops nationwide on subjects from safer sex practices to sexual assault. Shani hopes to help women of color remove the shame and guilt surrounding their sexual desires and needs through teaching her workshops, one-on-one counseling, and couple’s counseling. She loves sharing her spicy sex tips, tricks, and resources with those who are ready to listen and learn while having fun.

Shawnte' Spriggs, a proud Washington D.C. native and graduate of the historicand esteemed Paul Laurence Dunbar HS, has returned to the DMV after several impactful years in North Carolina, where she acknowledges, "D.C. raised me, but Carolina made me." With 19+ years in banking, she's well-versed in the nuances of the corporate world. Her educational journey at Liberty University includes an M.A. in Executive Leadership, complementing her A.A. and B.A. in Psychology. Shawnte’ recently completed her second Master’s Degree in Digital Marketing & Advertising, highlighting her commitment to personal growth.

Jerry L. Washington

Jerry L. Washington, Jr., from Raleigh, North Carolina, brings to the table a wealth of experience spanning over 31 years in the realm of Public Health, with a focus on Sexual Health, HIV, and advocacy within the LGBT+ Community. He brings that expertise to the DC/Maryland/Virginia (DMV) region in his role as the CDC Linkage to Care Navigator for Heart to Hand, Inc. and Event Coordinator for the annual Sexual Health in Everything Expo in Prince George’s County, Maryland. As a resilient black, pansexual cisgender man living with HIV, his journey is marked by a steadfast commitment to facilitating access to care for those affected by HIV/AIDS and cultivating inclusive environments for LGBTQ+ individuals.

In 2023, Jerry achieved the status of Full Member within the Onyx Mid-Atlantic community, signifying his dedication and contributions to the Leather and kink realm. Under the guidance and mentorship of Master Eli Ra within The Illuminati House of Ra, he continues to evolve as a practitioner and advocate, embracing roles such as Alpha Boy, Handler, Leather Daddy, and Community Service Leader. On March 13th, 2024, he received his consideration collar from Master Eli Ra.

Beyond his affiliations, Jerry is the driving force behind Transformative Impact Coaching & Consulting Group, LLC, a platform dedicated to empowering organizations and individuals. Through his coaching and consulting services, he champions topics ranging from Sexual Health and Sex Positivity to Sexual Liberation and Self-Transformation, ensuring that his expertise catalyzes positive change within diverse communities. In 2023, Jerry was a featured guest on the “DC Ends HIV Positive Voices” Podcast and in January 2024, he was one of the featured authors in the article titled, “Want to Start Long-Acting Injectable HIV Treatment? Become Your Own Advocate!” for the Positively Aware Journal.

As the Vice President of Leather Boys of Color, Jerry actively promotes visibility and representation, striving to create spaces where individuals of all backgrounds feel valued and supported. His multifaceted approach to advocacy extends beyond professional realms, encompassing personal narratives and lived experiences to foster empathy and understanding.

In essence, Jerry embodies resilience, compassion, and leadership in his relentless pursuit of equity and empowerment within public health, sexuality, and community advocacy. Through his unwavering dedication, he catalyzes transformative change, leaving an indelible mark on those he serves and the communities he represents

Master Ra

Master Ra

Master Ra has been in the BDSM and Leather community for more than two decades, since 1999 and has attended and taught at events across the United States such as Dark Odyssey, CLAW, and ONYX Blackout The Korral. Master Eli and the illuminati House Of Ra created and organized the First BBM University at Bears, Bikers & Mayhem once seeing a need for education and empowerment when attending his favorite leather events. His passion for kink and fetish has allowed him to make his mark (so to speak) in the community and is honored to hold the roles of Master, Sir, Daddy, Handler, and Mentor, for many phenomenal people, within his community not just mention his contributions as 2017 Mr. Maryland Leather, and the Current 2020 Mr. Maryland Leather.

This Master hails from Manhattan, New York City and currently resides in Hyattsville, Maryland. A United States Navy veteran, he holds the titles of Mr. Maryland Leather 2016 and Mid-Atlantic Pup Handler 2018/19 and has been a Mid- Atlantic Onyx member since 2014 and is currently one of its chapter’s alumni members. Master Eli Ra was trained under, and finally covered a Sir by his Sir Nagrom of Baltimore in 2016 and covered a Master in 2019 by Master Sable of Florida at the Master Slave conference in the Carter Johnson library for the community to witness. 

He’s a Queer/Gay POC Leatherman and Head of Household for The Illuminati House of Ra Leather Tribe. A Leather House focused on community education and outreach. This House was established in 2017 to incorporate many facets of people with many sexual orientations and titles in the community yet keeps its focus on embracing those seeking knowledge of kink through protocol.

Together, they have created the #IHOR GIVES BACK Project, a community outreach venture that provides significant contributions to the LGBTQIA people experiencing homelessness on the East Coast, centered in the DMV area. Through IHOR, Master Eli Ra offers classes in many subjects including BDSM dynamics, consent and negotiation, medical play, cigar play, fire play, impact play, ass play, leather and rope bondage-mummification, both at private and public events not to mention on his Pillow Talk podcast on YouTube and other social media platforms along with his weekly Muir Cap Monday inspirational community post. IHOR has also parented and supported the Leatherboys of Color and Leathergirls of Color groups that Master Eli created in order to provide a national safe space for people of color within those identities.

I love telling stories. I love hearing stories. Ever since I was little, I always had a passion for television and film. Every time I watched a new movie, I would often continue that cinematic universe through my toys. 

It is this passion that would eventually lead me to volunteer at my church as a cameraman and audio engineer. I would take film classes and study media trends just to keep myself smart.

A few years would go by, and I would find myself enlisting into the United States Navy. However, my passion for storytelling remained strong. It was here I discovered the true art of storytelling.

In 2009, I settled in Washington, D.C. While the Navy did provide great opportunities, I knew where my true passions lie.  Although I wasn't new to the camera, I knew I needed some formal training. So in 2012, I started my creative journey. Interestingly, not as a filmmaker, but as a DJ.

However, being a DJ did help shape my storytelling abilities. I would often play music based on who was on the floor and create an atmosphere where beautiful memories can be made. This would go on for five years.

​While I had a great time entraining people on the dance floor, the silver screen was calling me. That was when I started my cinematic journey.  My time as a DJ showed me I had the skills to create a universe where people can escape and relate to.  Much like a director to his films. Or like the screenwriter. Thus, here is the beginning of my cinematic journey. And I want to take you on that journey with me.
